Standing out from other seas and oceans on our planet as an inland sea, the Black Sea is host to millions of living organisms as well as enabling many cultural and historical assets to survive. Today the unique ecological make up of the Black Sea has been seriously damaged. Presently, the Black Sea is synonymous with problems like sea pollution, over fishing and physical changes inflicted on the sea bed, the coast and rivers.
